Marcos Tejedor (León, Spain, 1983) is a painter, illustrator, photographer, and graphic designer deeply connected to the most profound aspects of the human condition. His technique—always impeccable—is consistently placed at the service of a perspective that never forgets that behind the strength of a face there often lies the vulnerability of the subject’s soul. The self hides many faces behind outward appearance: Marcos Tejedor seems to capture them all in each of his works.
In his universe, legendary figures who have left an indelible mark on global culture seem to converse with one another, revealing in each portrait the two faces of genius: the heroic and the human. All of those portrayed also share a common denominator: their honesty and unwavering commitment to art. Through them—and through this attitude toward life—the painter from León pays tribute.
Marcos Tejedor draws inspiration from many artists, notably Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Francis Bacon, and Piet Mondrian.
Marcos Tejedor has worked in several graphic design and illustration studios.
In the early 2000s, he earned an Advanced Degree in Illustration Techniques from the School of Art in Oviedo. He later completed his education with an Advanced Degree in Advertising Graphic Design from Art School No. 10 in Madrid.
En continua evolución, nunca ha dejado de estudiar. Casi siempre cursos relacionados con el dibujo académico y la pintura, añadiendo continuamente conocimientos a su formación artística.
After eight years in Costa Rica working as a professional photographer, he returned to Spain in 2021, following the pandemic, and left everything behind to devote himself fully to his passion: painting.
Since then, he has worked tirelessly on his art, developing his own visual language and identity.
He has participated in numerous exhibitions in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Venice, Ibiza, Gijón, and León, achieving significant sales success.
